Sweeping Georgian Crescents, beautiful Regency architecture, stunning fifteenth century Bath Abbey and the well-preserved Roman Bath House; it is easy to see why the whole of central bath is a designated UNESCO world heritage site and a hugely popular stop on any tour of England.

The big name sights do not disappointed but much of the pleasure of Bath is simply strolling through the streets and squares and stopping for a coffee at one of the pavement cafes. The ‘medicinal’ waters of Bath, to which the city owes its popularity over the centuries, can be sampled at a modern, luxury spa complex.
