For two weeks in October, the historic heart of Cheltenham is transformed into a celebration of literature from Britain and around the world. A wide range of debates, interviews and workshops take place covering topics ranging between politics, sport, comedy, poetry, drama and, of course, literature.
Tickets will be available to purchase for individual events on the festival website or via the box office.
Getting there: Cheltenham Spa station is easily accessible from most parts of the country. Direct trains run from London Paddington (2 hours 30 minutes), Birmingham (40 minutes) and York (3 hours 15 minutes) amongst other places.
Parking is available in the town centre but is likely to fill up quickly during the festival. A better option would be to park in one of the ‘park and rides’ around the town (which are signed on all approach roads) and take a bus into town from there.
