New for 2017, the Bath Festival is a 10 day multi-arts festival celebrating the city through music and literature.
There will be a variety of shows covering classical music, jazz, world and folk music alongside contemporary fiction, intelligent debate, science, history, politics and poetry.
Bath’s ‘Party in the City’ – a night of free music performed at locations all around the city – also returns as part of the festival on 20 May.
Most events require advance purchase of tickets, which can be obtained from the website below.
Getting there: Bath is easily accessible by train or car. It takes one and a half hours from London Paddington station on South West Trains. If travelling by car, we recommend parking in one of the large ‘park and ride’ car parks on the outskirts of town, and taking the regular bus into the centre, as parking in central Bath is difficult and expensive.
