Kensington and Chelsea are considered to be some of London’s ‘poshest’ boroughs and there is certainly some very impressive (and pricey) real estate in this area.
As you would expect, there is some high quality shopping to be had here. Chelsea’s King’s Road is full of independent boutiques and trendy bars and cafes, as well as several well-known chains, while upmarket Sloane Street is the place to get designer gear. Both Harrods and Harvey Nicholls are also nearby.
South Kensington is the home of many of London’s best museums – the Victoria and Albert Museum (or the V&A), the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum are within a few minutes’ walk of each other – while north Kensington contains beautiful Kensington Palace and Kensington Gardens.
